Susan and Veronica take a nap between dives. Such hard work it is.
In the morning, I tagged along on two dives with Noel to learn more about the dive sites and so I can be more effective at guiding. We took the big boat out to the Arco and BBC dive sites. Veronica and Susan came along on the boat along with some other guests.
The dives went well and I learned a lot about where certain fish were and where to go. My buddy for the dive was Trevor who hasn’t dived in a while. I kept a close eye on him and made sure he was okay; that instructor part of me. Throughout the dives, we saw some nice sea life including scorpionfish, a uniquely white nudibranch with orange spots, giant moray eel, several smaller moray eels, and a walking and fishing frogfish—fishing by waving his “lure” around trying to attract prey. The fishing and walking frogfish was the coolest thing—I’ve never seen that in person before.

Later in the evening Kenny, Eric, and Vilma got massages while I just hung out and “worked” at Genesis. Dinner we all went to eat lechon manok (BBQ chicken). Back on the beach, I went to Coco Vida to plan with Mae our trip the next day to Mag-Aso falls in Bohol.

Of course, the night wouldn’t be complete without going to Oops bar for some happy hour. Kenny and I went with Veronica and Susan where we drank way too many rum and Sprites. While we were there, we met Robert and Lidia who are divers at Genesis and who joined our table. Robert is a free diver while Lidia is a glass blower. We stayed at Oops even until after they closed up and turned off all the lights.
