Bite Me at Mag-Aso Falls
In the morning, the maid where I live gave me a note from my landlord saying that she wants to charge me 100 pesos/day more for having Kenny stay at my place. I previously agreed to her to pay extra for utilities, not rent. I wasn’t too happy that she wants to charge me almost 50% more in rent.
Kenny and I met up with Mae, Ren, Eric and Vilma in the morning because we planned on going to Mag-Aso falls about an hour motorbike away. I’ve never visited the waterfalls and I was happy to have Kenny, Eric, and Vilma see something new. The motorbike ride was fun except for driving in traffic in Tagbilaran.
The waterfalls was fun and refreshing. The waterfall wasn’t impressive in any respect but swimming around in the water was nice. However, all around the water there were a lot of small, gnat-like bitting insects. It was bearable at first but by the time we ate lunch the flies almost literally drove me insane. We moved to higher ground away from the water but that didn’t help much. The only thing that helped was to constantly move around like a lunatic. We left early because the biting flies were too annoying.
In the evening at around 6 PM, Sander, Veronica, Susan, Kenny, Eric, Vilma, and I met at Oops bar for dinner and a couple beers. We sat around Oops until midnight, of course.
