Feeling Like Poo

Suzette's laughably sad looking filet mignon was more like a steak at Denny's. I felt sorry for the steak.

I got into work by 10 AM with Suzette and didn’t feel good at all. We checked in and went to eat breakfast across the street at Vienna Kauffehaus. I sought out to eat the greasiest food and to drink strongly caffeinated coffee—two things good for hangovers. The hash brown that came with my breakfast though was so greasy it was soggy. It was nasty.

At work, I didn’t feel good at all. I had the chills and stomach problems which led me to believe I wasn’t suffering from a hangover but rather I was sick with something. Slight food poisoning perhaps?

For dinner, we went to Wineshop again. Honestly, Wineshop is overpriced and the food is mediocre. The main reason why we tend to go there is because Mike likes the bartender there and it’s close by. I had a Tanquaray and tonic drink which I haven’t had since I left the US. It was good. I also drank a Screwdriver drink which was made with Tang and Ginesa gave us a free Tequila gimlet. After dinner and a few drinks, we went back to the grind of work.

I worked until 3 AM. I’m starting not to like to work late and a lot. Lately I’ve worked 12 hour workdays which reminded me of why I left that lifestyle in the first place to work out on the beach as a dive instructor. If it wasn’t for the money, I wouldn’t be doing the job in Cebu.
