Toast with peanut butter for breakfast. In to work at Genesis by 11:30 AM. The staff at Genesis told me that someone was looking for me. I assumed it was Charles and Lucy who said they would be in Alona Beach by this time. While at Genesis I got a call from my friend Suzette who already went back to Cebu. She said that the visual effects company she works for there, HPI, needs help with some shots for a movie. Arriving from Cebu just a couple days ago and just meeting up with Charles and Lucy, I told her I will think about it.
I decided to go back to Cebu and to take advantage of the opportunity. I need to make up some of the money that I spent on diving and getting this job in Cebu would really help with that. It’s quite nice to get paid like I was in Los Angeles but have the low cost of living in the Philippines. I unfortunately had to tell Charles and Lucy that I was leaving for Cebu and I couldn’t go out and dive with them. They only wanted to dive if I was to do it with them. I planned on traveling to Cebu the next day which meant I had to pack, book a ferry, return my motorbike to Rubi, and pay rent and bills before days end.
Charles and Lucy whom I first met in Boracay waiting for my delayed flight. They were really friendly and cool.
I planned to meet up with Charles and Lucy at Oops bar at 6 PM. When they came, I met their friends Tyler and his girlfriend Kendall. We all agreed to eat dinner at Oops. Lori—a waitress at Oops—mentioned to me that because I brought four other people, I get a free dinner. I actually forgot about this instructor “benefit” and was quite happy to have it. By 11 PM, we walked over to Jasz restaurant where they were having an annual celebration with a live band. I had to go home early because I was planning on taking the early 6 AM ferry to Cebu and I still needed to pack.
At home, I packed and slept by 12:30 AM and planned on waking up by 4 AM
