Trying to prep for Japan

Today I went to Tagbilaran to get cash to pay for my stay, food, and diving at Genesis. I wanted to pay by cash because there’s a 6% surcharge for using credit card. After eating a little Pizza Hut lunch, I went over to the one bank that will allow one to withdraw more than 10,000 pesos per transaction (there’s a charge per transaction). Just my luck, they were closed. But why, because I was there at 1 pm and their hours are from 9-3pm? I thought perhaps they were at a lunch break so decided to come back later.

I decided to just check out a few other banks in the area to see if they were open. Nope. None of them were open and none of them gave reasons why. I texted a few of my Filipino friends why this might be. Juliday texted me back saying it was a holiday! Damn, just my luck.

I’ve been checking the weather in Japan and noticed that it was rainy and cool (50’s F). I moved out to the Philippines with no clothes for any kind for cold weather. I don’t even have a light jacket. I decided to look for one at BQ mall and to my surprise, I couldn’t find one jacket. They had less than a rack of very light warm up type athletic jackets. They might be fine for repelling rain but that’s about it. Well, maybe I can get one in Japan or something.

At night I went to both Oops and Coco Vida to say my good byes to a lot of my friends working there. It felt like I was leaving for good but it was only a week.
